Been using this MB on an overclocked 8600K for almost a year now, and honestly I think this MB is somewhat underrated. Sure in 2020 it's been since depreciated, but it was surely better than some said for the price point. Good review though.
Your english is wild
pls stop
Does this support 9th gen Intel CPUs? I heard it could with a BIOS update on the motherboard.
Can use that with i5 9400f, without having to do, update to the bios?
Compatible w i9?????
Compatible with SSD?
ASRock the best
I dont really need to upgrade my old pc but then i found this + i3 8100 for 170$ used.
Does this board support an i3 8100?
This audio is infuriating.
So my usb 2.0 case can connect to this board?
The USBs are 3.1. Not 3.0 and it's incredible the pcie both run at x16 speed. Only thing missing is m.2 WiFi and 2 more pcie lanes which can be found on the brother z370 for less money
ive got the full atx version of this board but it has the exact same vrm and it runs 8700k at 5.2 without raising voltage (offset voltage set to zero) and will do the blender render of the bmw. it will even game at 5.3. maybe the consistency of the boards vary from one to another but i have had very good luck with it. i am adding a copper vrm heatsink and a small fan to it as well (maybe 40mm or a laptop blower whichever will fit) while thermal epoxying the stock heat sink to the top vrms even though they dont get really hot. for gaming i would trust the vrm's even at 5.2 ghz i think. for extended renders or encoding maybe not but for gaming i think this is all i need. but maybe i would get better results with a different board but i really dont think so. guess i just got a golden chip. will be delidding soon as well. wish me luck
Should i can get 5.0 ghz on this motherboard?
Would this support an i3 8350k?
can you review MSI Z370M Mortar?
IS THIS MOTHERBOARD ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH SSD?
May I ask if this supports SLI (the website said Crossfire but idk about SLI) I’m not good at pc
Bought this board on $100 deal for my i7-8700K. 4.7Ghz on air cooling with undervolting. Cool and quiet. Thing is, I do not want to pay extra $150-200 for an expensive motherboard and water cooler, just to hit 5Ghz. The FPS gain in games is low.
could someone explain the "10phase design lack vrm cooling, will limit your OC"? what is it limited to?
Can I install RGB fans on this board?
Should i get this one or the full atx one?
Ideal for i7 8700
I recommend buying an external 7.1 sound card to use with this motherboard. I am very happy with my Vantec NBA-200U, for example, but you can shop around. I have a 5.1 speaker setup with the green, orange and black 3.5mm cables, but this motherboard only has green (front speaker audio), blue (line-in) and pink (microphone) 3.5mm plugs in the back.
Kinda seems like ASRock made this board for some people who might want a locked chip and don't want to spend a bunch of money on a motherboard (like me). Might be a pretty smart move, all things considered.
Neat little video Nick. I like how you give it a rating award at the end.
wait till next year =)
About the 10 Phase design, it's NOT 8 + 2 as asrock would like you to believe, it's 2×4 + 2×1, basically half of the VRMs have identical timings as the other half, thus each 2x VRM act as one, which results in a scenario where you basically have 4 + 1 bigger VRMs, a bit better than just a plain 4 + 1 VRM design, but certainly NOT even close to real 8 + 2 phase VRM design.
